Search Queries
A name or place entered in a search box is sent directly to the outside provider that operates the tool. That provider processes the request and supplies its results. Putnam County Criminal History does not keep or log those search terms on its own systems.
Messages and Contact Submissions
An email or other direct message may be retained long enough to respond and handle the communication. It remains within the operating team unless disclosure is required by a valid legal obligation.

Putnam County Criminal History does not compile, maintain, or sell a database of personal criminal records. It publishes general directions to records held by the Putnam County Sheriff's Records Division, the local criminal courts, the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation, and the Tennessee Sex Offender Registry. The site is not a consumer reporting agency under the Fair Credit Reporting Act, and visitor data is not assembled into a consumer report or a third-party criminal file.
Third-Party Search Partners
Outside companies provide the search boxes. Their own privacy policies govern information entered in those tools, including retention and disclosure practices beyond our control. Visitors should review the provider's terms before sending a query.
Links to Other Websites
Links may lead to Putnam County offices, Tennessee agencies, courts, legal resources, and commercial search tools. Once a visitor leaves this website, the destination's privacy policy controls that visit. Review it before providing personal information.
Advertising providers may use their own systems to recognize activity across websites and select ads. Their collection does not occur in a criminal-record database maintained by us.
